how this started

I stopped doing
the work myself

I've spent more than 25 years in marketing and the last seven working with AI. Through 2025 I was still doing AI the way most marketers do. A chat window open in a browser tab, prompting my way through one task at a time. It helped, but I was still the one doing all the work. Pasting things in, uploading files one at a time, re-explaining the same context, stitching every piece together by hand.

Then in January 2026 I changed how I worked. Instead of prompting for answers, I started handing Claude whole jobs. A clear goal, access to the right folders, the business context, instructions for the output. Then I stepped away.

"Work that used to take two or three hours started coming back in about twenty minutes, in my voice."

Not every job ran like that at first. Plenty stalled, asked questions, or came back needing a rewrite. And when I dug into why, the reason was always the same, and it was never the AI. It was my setup. Unclear folders, missing context, no instructions worth following.

Delegation is a setup problem.
Not a skills problem.

That's the whole belief behind everything I now teach. Marketers don't need to get better at prompting. They need a working environment Claude can operate in, and a clear answer to one question. Which of my tasks should move first, and what does that actually save me?

The Operator Gameplan is the diagnostic I wish I'd had that January. Ten questions about your real week. Back comes a personalised plan. Which tasks to hand over, what that saves you every week, which Claude capabilities run them, and the first workflow to build.

Not a course. Not a PDF of prompts. A diagnosis of your week, with the maths attached.

the chat tool trap

You're using AI. But you're
still doing most of the work.

It's 5.30pm and you're still at your desk, typing "try again" into a chat window. The doc next to it is half-finished. So is the one behind it. And the to-do list AI was supposed to shorten hasn't got any shorter.

That's the chat tool trap, and it looks like this:

  • Fifteen tabs open, copy-pasting the same brand context from one chat to the next
  • Same targets as last quarter, fewer hands to hit them
  • You've watched the videos and saved the prompts: it helped, but it didn't stick
  • You paste a brief into a chatbot, then spend just as long reformatting it, fixing the voice and wrangling the files
  • 60% of the average knowledge worker's day goes on the repetitive work around the job, not the job itself (Asana, Anatomy of Work)

More prompting won't fix this.
Six months from now the gap isn't talent. It's a system.

The gameplan doesn't teach you the system. It shows you exactly where the system would pay you back first, in your week, with your tasks, in plain numbers. That's the right first step, and it costs less than the coffee next to your keyboard.

how it works

Ten questions in.
A gameplan out.

STEP 1 · ANSWER Ten questions about your real week. About 3 minutes. STEP 2 · YOUR GAMEPLAN Scored, mapped and written for you, on screen in about a minute. STEP 3 · BUILD One clear workflow to start this week. Hours come back.

The scores, savings and tool mappings are computed from fixed benchmarks, built from real training with 55+ companies. Claude writes the diagnosis around your own words. Nothing invents numbers.

No sales call to book, no webinar to sit through, no 40-part email course standing between you and the thing you paid for.

Where are you on

Your answers place you in one of five bands. Then your gameplan shows the gap between your week and 10-80-10, and exactly how it closes.

where the numbers come from

The benchmarks come from
marketers' before-and-afters. Not a blog.

I've run 55+ live trainings with 2,150+ marketers, and I record them. Before we start, I sit with people and ask where they think AI could save them time. Most aren't sure. That's the honest starting point, and I hear it on almost every call.

Two or three weeks after the training, I ask again. What did you apply? What did you build? What actually came back? This time everyone has answers, in their own words, with real numbers attached.

training call recordings  /  the same question, weeks apart
The pattern, from hundreds of calls

"Where could AI save you time?"

Typical answers, paraphrased from real consultations. The gap between the two is the point.

Before
"Honestly, I'm not sure. Maybe emails? I'd need to think about it."
3 weeks on
"The monthly report. It was half a day, it's now about 20 minutes of review. I'm building the competitor digest next."
Multiply that gap by hundreds of marketers and you get the savings ranges and tool mappings inside your gameplan. Measured, not modelled.

The gameplan is computed from that dataset. Claude writes your diagnosis around your own answers. The numbers were already there.

Part 02 of 04 · Delegation Shortlist

Custom-built for: a solo marketer in B2B SaaS, 6 to 10 hours a week on execution

A sample from a real test run. The savings use typical ranges from marketers I've trained. Your first build will be slower. Your tenth will be faster.

Task 1
Reporting. Today: 2 to 4 hours a week. As an operator workflow: about 25 minutes of review. Roughly 11 hours back every month from one workflow.
Task 2
Content repurposing. Today: 1 to 2 hours per asset. As an operator workflow: about 12 minutes of review, every asset, every week.
Task 3
Competitor research. Today: 2 to 3 hours per pass. As a scheduled workflow: about 18 minutes of review, finished and waiting Monday morning.
Across your three tasks: typically 17 to 25 hours a month back. Around 30 working days a year, from three workflows you review instead of run.

Part 01
Your Operator Score
Your split today against the 10-80-10 target, rendered as two bars with a band name and a straight two-line diagnosis. This is the page people screenshot.
Part 02
Your Delegation Shortlist
Up to three tasks from your real week that should move to Claude first, with what each costs you today and what it becomes as a reviewed workflow. Weekly, monthly and annual maths included.
Part 03
Your Tool Map
Which Claude capability runs each task. Projects, Skills, Connectors and Scheduled Tasks, mapped to the tools you already use. Never a generic feature tour.
Part 04
Your First Workflow
The one to build first, based on the task you told me you dread, one level deep, with the folder skeleton to set up and your immediate move for today. It ends by quoting your own words back to you.

Robert Gillespie

Marketer first · 25+ years · Inc.'s AI marketing expert · CIM keynote speaker

I've spent more than 25 years leading teams, building campaigns and judging what good marketing looks like. These days I show companies large and small how to put Claude to work on their marketing, including teams at Adobe and JP Morgan Chase. Inc. Magazine calls me their AI marketing expert, and I write a weekly column for them on exactly that.

The gameplan is the first thing I'd do with any marketer I train. Now it doesn't need me in the room.

  • Measured, not modelledevery number in the gameplan traces back to those recorded before-and-afters, never to someone else's blog post.
  • Built for how marketers actually worksolo marketers, marketing leaders, founders doing their own marketing, and freelancers with clients. The questions and the plan adapt to your role.
  • The same first step I run in persondiagnose the week, find the tasks, do the maths, pick the first build. The in-person version sits inside a $2,500 workshop day.

"I'd been treating Claude like a slightly better search engine. Robert showed me how to work with it properly, with files, context and connected tools, and my monthly report went from half a day to minutes."

questions

Got questions?

What exactly do I get for $5?
A personalised four-part gameplan. Your Operator Score, your Delegation Shortlist with the time maths, your Tool Map, and your First Workflow with a folder skeleton and an immediate move for today. Ten questions, about three minutes to answer, and the plan renders on screen about a minute later.
Is this just AI making things up about me?
No. The score bands, the savings ranges and the tool mappings are computed from fixed benchmarks built from training 2,150+ marketers at 55+ companies. Claude writes the diagnosis and weaves in your own words. The numbers never come from imagination.
Why $5 and not free?
Because free audits get skimmed and forgotten. A small price means you'll actually open it, read it and act on it. It also keeps me honest. If I'm charging for it, the plan has to be genuinely worth more than the coffee it costs.
Do I need Claude before I buy?
No. The gameplan tells you what to set up and in what order, so it works as a starting point. And if you already use Claude, the questions pick that up and the plan meets you where you are.
Will it work for my kind of marketing?
The intake asks what you market, where your marketing happens and which tasks eat your time, and the task lists adapt to your role. Solo marketer, marketing leader with a team, founder doing your own marketing, or freelancer with clients. The plan is built from your answers, not a template.
Is this a course pitch dressed up as a quiz?
No. The gameplan mentions my course exactly once, in one line at the end, with no discount code and no countdown timer. Everything before that line is your diagnosis, your maths and your first build. The gameplan is the product.
When do I get access?
Immediately. Your confirmation page and receipt carry your personal link to the tool. The plan renders on screen, and you can print it or save it as a PDF to keep.
What if it's not useful?
Then I don't want your $5. Email me at robert@robertgillespie.me and I'll refund it. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

★ Instant access · about 3 minutes of questions

the last question the gameplan asks

It's Monday 9am. Two to three hours of your usual work is already done. What do you do with that time?

Whatever you answer gets quoted back at the end of your plan, because that's what all of this is for. Not more AI. Your time back.
